Program Overview
The Master of Social Work (MSW) programme offered through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode is designed in accordance with the provisions of the UGC (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Programmes) Regulations. The programme provides an opportunity to learners to acquire professional education in social work through a flexible and learner-centric approach. The curriculum is structured to impart theoretical knowledge and practical understanding in areas such as social work practice, community organization, social policy, human behavior, research methodology, and social welfare administration. The programme also emphasizes fieldwork and skill development to enhance professional competence in addressing social issues. It aims to develop social sensitivity, ethical values, analytical skills, and professional capabilities among learners. Graduates are prepared for careers in social welfare organizations, NGOs, community development agencies, government sectors, and are also eligible for higher studies and research in social work and allied fields.
